Join us in Lamington for an interactive community walk, led by creative consultants icecream architecture.

During this walk we will explore local historical and natural interests, focusing specifically on travel and movement. How have people historically travelled from community to community? When did our travel habits change and why, and what’s the impact of this? How do we currently move in and around our communities?

The community walk will also provide an opportunity for icecream architecture to gather feedback on the design of active travel maps and wayfinding. These bespoke maps and signage are being developed in collaboration with communities throughout South Lanarkshire and we want your input into the final design.

Days Activities:

14:00 - 15:00 - Community walk*
15:00 - 16:00 - Map and wayfinding feedback

*The walk will be weather depending. If it is not suitable weather we will have a chat in the church

This project is funded by Smarter Choices Smarter Places, Lanarkshire LEADER, South Lanarkshire Council and the Rural Development Trust.
