Please vote on community priorities if you live and / or work in Carstairs Junction, by noon on Friday 3 April, in order to help create a Five Year Community Led Action Plan.

The four sets of priorities were identified through a first stage community survey which launched at the Carstairs Junction Family Ceilidh on 7 February this year. They are Housing and Neighbourhoods; Roads and Transportation; Leisure and Outdoor Space; and Community Resources.

The priorities were presented as a Facebook Live video, in place of a Spring Tea which had been planned before social distancing measures had been implemented. Watch the video below to find out more, and scroll down to vote.

To discuss any aspects of the priorities in more detail, please call Lynda Johnstone on 07898 983 931 during office hours 9am - 5pm before Saturday 4 April.

The Community-Led Action Plan, due to be launched in May, will identify the community’s priorities over the next five years, highlighting projects that the community would like to work on together to make their community a better place to live, work and play. The plan will be able to be used as evidence by community groups seeking funding or by organisations who deliver services in that community.

Congratulations to Chelsea Davidson and David Wardrope White, winners of the Carstairs Junction Photo Competition, which ran as part of the community led action plan process. Each of them have won a £50 Amazon voucher! Well done both.

The Plan is funded by LEADER with support from Community Action Lanarkshire. It is being delivered by Community Enterprise.
