Over the last few months, 9 communities across rural Clydesdale took part in mapping workshops to highlight how people can connect up to local services and other villages using sustainable forms of transport like walking, cycling and public transport.

Now  all local residents inLamington, Abington, Crawford, Elvanfoot, Leadhills, Crawfordjohn, Douglas, Glespin and Rigside are invited to a new online forum  to help finalise the maps and provide further information for the project.

The new ‘Make Your Way Community Group’ on Facebook will act as a ‘forum’ for people to comment on the draft maps, suggest waymarker locations and help the project team with local knowledge.  The maps will be uploaded over the next week, with a few days allocated for each map for the local community to give feedback.

You can join the group at www.facebook.com/groups/MYWForum, or if you are not on social media and would like to view any of the maps please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

These programmes are part of the wider ‘Make Your Way’ project funded by Smarter Choices Smarter Places and the Renewable Energy Fund, and managed by Community Action Lanarkshire supported by South Lanarkshire LEADER.
