Fantastic day at the Glebe celebrating the launch of our Make Your Way Lesmahagow Maps co-designed by local people & icecream architecture. We also launched our Make Your Way Walking, Wheeling, Cycling & Sustainable Transport Booklets. Unfortunately we were unable to unveil the new Map Board however locals were able to get a sneak peak at the Map itself! Check out the new Map at www.makeyourwayclydesdale.com/lesmahagow

Thank you to all who came along; activities, coaching & led cycle ride provided by Socialtrack who brought along BMX's, scooters, mountain bikes ect

If you missed out on today's free event, why not pop along to the Make Your Way event at Blackwood Primary School tomorrow between 11am - 2:30pm

School shredability sessions were delivered by our project partner Social Track and proved to be a big hit with the 5-participating school of Milton Primary and Woodpark Primary (Lesmahagow), Bent Primary (Boghead) and St Johns Primary and Blackwood Primary (Kirkmuirhill/Blackwood). After initial discussions with all participating schools, Shredability was chosen over Bikeability as many of the school were already delivering some level of Bikeability provision. Shredability sessions encompassed all types of wheeled skills and competency training (Bike, BMX, mountain bikes, scooters, skateboards and longboards). In total 78 sessions were delivered, with 128 pupils taking part.

Some individual quotes from participating pupils;

1. "We loved how shredability gave us the chance to learn new skills using bikes and scooters. I feel my confidence has really improved"

2. "Shredability was one of the best experiences we've had at school this year. The instructors were friendly and taught us cool new tricks"

3. "Brilliant fun! Wish we could do this every week."
