Jeanne Robinson, of the Glasgow Huntarian Museum, explains the survey project and techniques being used to investigate the lives of the tiny residents of the ancient Cadzow Oaks. Planted around 700 years ago, these trees are a nationally significant remnant of what is probably the most ancient surviving oak woodland in Scotland. With help from South Lanarkshire Countryside Rangers,Guided walks have been held over the last two weeks to introduce people to the site and the project, which is supported by the Glasgow Natural History Society, providing a great opportunity to learn more about life in these intriguing trees.
